This 8”×12” cut paper painting (in a 10x”14” frame) is part of my first collection of Abstract Oyster Studies. Each piece began with cutouts from my larger work, An Abstract Ode to Oysters, then transformed into one of eight unique compositions—each with its own distinct mix of color, pattern, texture, and personality.

Inspired by the shimmer of pearls, the fizz of ocean and champagne bubbles, and my love for Yayoi Kusama’s art, this painting captures the sparkling, uplifting feeling that oysters—and a good toast—bring to any moment.
