Sea anemones symbolize flower-like beauty, resilience, protection (hi clownfish!), and adaptability in constantly changing harsh conditions.
With this cut paper painting, I daydreamt that each shape, pattern, layer represented different aspects of our lives coming together as uniquely complex and beautiful forms (like us human beings!). Most of my abstract work feel like underwater curiosities, inspired by my love for watercolors' flowy nature.
